Service Description

A chemical peel has a softening affect on the texture of the skin and enhances the skin. A chemical peel works by exfoliating the outer layers of dead skin which exposes and reveals fresher, new layers. Skin shows improved colour, tone and texture. It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation. We use the Clinicare Facial Peel System during training. We find this system to be well tolerated by most clients and it offers treatments for different skin conditions with minimal side effects. Course Contents Skin anatomy & physiology Indications for use – including areas of treatments Differences in peel solutions and appropriate selection to suit the client Effectiveness of treatment – including depth and post treatment skincare Handling adverse reactions Appropriate combining of further treatment options Carrying out a Consultation: Client selection – including client medical history, drugs, and supplements list Skin analysis and pre-treatment considerations Contraindications and cautions to treatment Consenting clients Demonstration and practice session: Client preparation for treatment Importance of describing the sensation of treatment to clients Effective treatment techniques Health and safety management: including choice of equipment, safe handling of chemicals, and equipment management Number and frequency of treatments Use of homecare products Post treatment advice Duration- 1 day Pre Requisites - Facial Therapy and Skincare Qualification Model Required - You will need to provide your own model .
