Prior to attending the course, you will be sent a short pre-course information pack.
This is designed to:
familiarise you with key terminology
introduce basic theory and safety concepts
allow more time on the day for practical learning
The pre-course reading is supportive and straightforward. There is no assessment or testing involved.
Students will work on their own hands and must arrive with natural, product-free nails. Any models attending must also be free from all nail products.
-
A model is required for the course.
Students are responsible for providing their own model
Full guidance will be provided in advance regarding suitability and preparation
Models must have a minimum of three weeks’ hair growth on all treatment areas, including the lower legs, bikini area, underarms, eyebrows, and lip/chin.
Models must not be taking acne medications such as Accutane and should discontinue the use of active skincare, including retinols and Retin-A, prior to the course, as these may contraindicate waxing treatments.
For comfort during and after treatment, models are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid items that are tight or restrictive.
